SAVENNIÈRES

THE ESTATE WHERE WINE IS
A FEMININE PLURAL WORD

  WINE AND FOOD

Wines should not be served over-chilled.
The ideal temperature is 12°C
Don’t forget to decanter your old vintage bottles.

The Domaine aux Moines
can be served throughout a meal...

I would serve a
Domaine aux Moines 2000
as an aperitif

  Some recipes
In the spring, the Savennières Roche aux Moines 1995 or 1991
from the Domaine aux Moines will be a perfect match for asparaguses.

Steamed asparaguses
Sauce : fresh cream, salt and pepper . . .
. . . only . . .

Serve with a Domaine aux Moines 1991
in a decanter at 12°C.

It is traditional to have Savennières with all fish dishes served with a beurre blanc,
but our oldest vintage wines may also accompany white meat,
cheese and even pork fillets cooked with pineapple!

Pork fillets (2)
Onions (2), Pineapple (1), salt and Pepper
In a casserole dish, brown the onions
pineapple and pork fillets separately
Mix them together, add salt and pepper
Moisten with Savennières Roche aux Moines
Cover and put in the oven at thermostat 6 for 1 ½ hours

Serve with a Domaine aux Moines 1995

 Warm goat cheese

Spread some acacia honey on a slice of bread.
Put some fresh goat cheese on it.
Put in a pre-heated oven at 150°C.
When the cheese begins to melt,
put on the grill position before spreading the cheese.
